Staffing/Volunteers

We are always keen to hear from branch members who would like to help out at this (or any of the other festivals the Tendring and Colchester branches organise).
Remember festivals do not run themselves, we rely on volunteers to plan, organise & run each event.

There are lots of jobs that need doing:

• Set up on the Tuesday & Wednesday. (Involves some heavy work erecting the stillage, bars & Beer etc.)
• Front Door, Membership & Products
• Serving behind the bar
• 'Knock down' on Sunday. (The opposite to setting up!)

Don't worry if you've never served beer before, it's very simple and there will be plenty of people to help you out.

Just a couple of hours of your spare time means that someone else gets a break and can enjoy a little of the festival as well.

Oh, and don't forget the main perk, Cheap Beer!

Transport

If you have access to (or know someone who has) a van, we need to transport our equipment from (and to) storage on Mersea Island and collect (and return) the bars from Harwich.

If you and/or your van are available on the afternoon of Tuesday 21st August and again on the morning after the festival, Sunday 26th August, could you contact (Clacton Beer Festival Officer).
Fuel costs will be met by Camra and there could be some beer involved too! (Although not whilst you're driving!)
